Just bought myself a new monitor, and it has some USB ports on it that I'd quite like to utilise to I can effectively use the monitor as a dock without having to connect everything else to my MacBook.
I'm currently connecting to the monitor via HDMI, which doesn't then allow use of the USB ports as far as I can see (HDMI is just video and audio?), will the USB ports work if I use DisplayPort instead?
Also, if I use a DisplayPort to DVI adapter, will I be able to daisy chain a second monitor to the main monitor. The main monitor has DisplayPort, but the second monitor only has DVI.
Thanks.
