Quicker standard?

  New Kangoo Van!
Since fitting the milltek exhaust with decat my 182 just doesnt seem as pokey! Im thinkin of ditchin the decat and just tryin the exhaust and cat.

Anyone had similar issues?

  Focus RS mk1
i fitted decat on my 172 and i will say that it felt crap for around 200-300 miles but then started to feel better and better as time went on, give it little time to settle in

that makes no sense lol, you realise it will smooth the rev range alot resulting in more torque lower down and remove the very slight pull at around 5k. If you are concerned I would do a RR but I bet its your head playing tricks with you

Ps its not blowing anywhere is it?

Is it blowing out the cat to exhaust joint? The clamp style thing on the 182 is shite and a pig to get to seal, we had a right ordeal with Has's janspeed when we fitted that. God knows why they changed from a bolted flange like the 172 never had any blowing problems with my magnex.

Flange ftw!

Yeah i have had previous blowing problems but around the manifold to cat join. I got myself a new gasket kit from k-tec which apparantly didnt fit properly so they had to use the original springs. Since its all been fitted im still getting a slight blowing-like noise when around 3-4k. Also, when starting the car up when cold it sounds like a bag of sh**te around the manifold/decat area for about 3 minutes then its smooth.

i'll get it investigated. ive been under the car numerous times and ive now just given up!

Loctite flange sealant will seal it. Messy stuff but it works. Halfords sell it.

Some williams owners remove decats from their cars as the cat seems to give better engine power on some cars.

Ive heard this too many times for it to be dismissed as rubbish.
