r****d Q. Which way does the spring go in?

  Mini Cooper S
Do I seat the bit with the clear plastic at the bottom? (nearest to the ground).

Thanks!

You'll probably notice the spring your taking off has a similar thing going on i.e. has some level of bumpstop protection in the form of rubber around a few coils of the spring, so just go by that. I believe the rubber bit is at the bottom.

Appreciate the reply mate, gave K-Tec a call to help out lol. But yeah it's all self explanitary once the springs are out.

Rears are fitted, now just got the fronts to do!

Yea its all a learning curve, many tasks seem alot more daunting than they actually are when you come to do them :) although saying that the fronts arnt a walk in the park but with spring clamps and a spare pair of hands it should be quite doable.

Also on the mk2 i had to invest in a 21mm? swan neck spanner to release the top mount not sure if the mk3 the same but i imagine it will be similar.
