r250 the 'ring times

i have just been told the rs250 cup went round the 'ring 7 seconds quicker than the r26.R, fastest front wheel drive car round there! oh my!

anyone know if this is true?

8min16.9 is the R.26R time so need evidence that its 8 mins 10 for the 250 or it never happened.

I can't see it m8. A bit more power but I'm guessing a fair bit more weight and more road than track tyres etc would mean a slower time

I'm sure I read on Renaultsport that no official time was released for the 250?! Would be intersted to see/ hear an official time. They did a bit of testing there apparantely so there must be a time floating around!

Ive had a wee look, the R26R is 167kg's lighter than the 250 with a supposed 20bhp to compensate

Im guessing they would be pretty happy and would have released a statement.......

But then again, in the right hands the R26.R can break into the 7 min barrier......
