Is it possible to use these on a standard 182 engine? I guess i'll need a remap, but will I see any performance gains to go along with the exhaust and panel filter??
There's no point, doubt there will be any gains. Read here somewhere that standard ones are good Upto 210 bhp so you will be wasting your time an money mate.
They are a direct replacement but would need to be mapped to suit. And as above no gains on a standard engine.
My standard injectors were running 99% duty at just over 200bhp, although this is is bang on the limiter, it's still not a great thought. So as a bare minimum I'd say you'd need to be on ITB's to even try justifying them
Gains would be:
slightly worse emissions at idle
no change in power
Would require:
remap, but not just the simple stuff like the main fuel table, also the injector scale table etc, which most people mapping the standard ecu wont have access to
It would be better to just paint your current injectors really if you want that cool big injector look without actually needing bigger injectors. lol
To get more power from these engines its more airflow you need to achieve, more fuel is the easy bit but if done without more air will mean LESS power not more.
