when you say, "sprayed with APC" what do you mean?

i need to do my door hinges and under the bonnet. what you did looks to be the best way

APC Is all purpose cleaner. You can get specialist car apc from meguiars or you can get some daisy apc from tescos. Dilute it to the right ratio, spray it on generously with a spray bottle then leave it to dwell to soften the crap. then get a brush in there to agitate and free up the dirt. On the arches id reccomend something stiffer like the autoglym hi tech wheel brush or a nail brush. Once your done rinse it down with a hose or a watering can then dry with a microfibre cloth. then whack on any dressings.
