Mk4 .:R32
Thought I'd start a new thread seeing as I've actually picked it up now and been for a few blasts (plus a looong motorway drive home in peak time traffic)
Performance:
The .:R is a bit of a dark horse. A lot of people are under the impression it's boring as it weighs a far amount and isn't a 4.2 litre V8 twin turbo. If you get the revs and clutch right, then it'll fly off the line!
It sounds fantastic as standard. The exhaust note is epic, a mixture of a beefy growl with a few subtle pops.
As most know, it's a heavy motor. But it handles pretty well, and has the power to be able to justify the weight.
The brakes don't seem as sharp as they should, although they are attempting to stop a fairly heavy beast.
All in all the performance gets 8/10 for me! Although I miss having a tasty amount of torque (from my remapped GSi) it fits the bill for what I wanted.
Ride/Comfort/Interior:
The interior of my particular choice isn't to everyones taste as it's part grey and part black but I like it.
Heated half leather Konig seats, climate control, 6 CD changer, cup holders, cassette player..... what more could you want.
You can certainly tell it's a well built motor, even though it is 6/7 years old.
9/10 for interior and ride
Styling:
Won't be to everyone's tastes on here, as it's a clio forum not a VAG forum. But I think it looks superb. And imo only looks right in 3 door!
the wheels are great, and just been refurbed so are nice and shiny
10/10...its perfect imo
a few cheeky snaps:
Comments and suggestions welcome
