R888 on 16" rims

I'm thinking cup turinis - 38.5 offset with 195/50R16 R888s.

Anyone tried this setup?

Any reason why the larger profile tyres would be a problem?

Why not go for 15's as the tyres are a lot cheaper and unless your going for bigger brakes and would suffer for clearance your quids in.

depends on the suspension regarding clearance

longer gears but otherwise no problem

gr.N cars run even bigger tires

I'd have to buy 15" rims though and I've already nearly got 8 16" turinis.
