R888 or A048 on daily driver

  E90
I wonder how many carbboard cut out tards, who've bought a R26R, end up sticking out of a country post office window in the next few months, thinking 888's are amazing and have loads of grip from the moment you turn the key lol

I wouldn't use the R888 on a daily driver just because of the wear issue, your going to be going through set upon sets of tyres every year

If you live or drive anywere there's likely to be mud on the road then the R888 are dangerous and they are very bad for standing water.

Wear isn't really an issue, I'll be doing alot less miles and PE2's only last me 6k a front pair so splitting hairs over a couple of thousand miles less than that is a bit petty, lol. I'll be doing less miles in the car soon anyway due to a change of address so it'll balance out.

You have to remember it aint just the tyres that wear, when you run something like 888's the grip they have puts lots of extra stress on all the associated shizzle, bushes and the like when one is going bally ho ten tenths

Again the phrase "gives a s**t" springs to mind. I won't be bothering anyway if they're as unusable as you guys have said they aren't really going to be much cop for road use. I'm not going to have the same luxury of storage space for a winter and summer set of wheels for the car in my new place.

couldn't agree more with that. Never known an issue with grip even in the wet, but the wear on them is massive.

Bridgestone RE-040 for me (might be an old number actually, not had to buy any for ages)

  Weeman sucks ****
