R888 or T1-R for track?

  GDI Demo 182, Rsi Spider
i wouldnt say superb.. on a surface water wet track normal tires were winning... but without them having to shift water they grip really well

I run R888's on my 172 track car,far better than a T1-r or any other standard road tyre in the wet or dry, they are not far off a full slick in terms of dry weather grip either, but do wear down alot quicker in dry conditions than other types of tyres.I was at a very wet Cadwell park on Sunday, they performed superbly in these conditions,on one of the most demanding tracks in the country, especially in the wet.

A lotus Elise in the same conditions,on AO48's did not fair so well, there was quite a few crashes there also on Sunday,6 cars that I saw, either quite badly damaged or wrote off:(

I used some parada 2's at oulton last year and wasn't impressed tbh. Not a great deal better if any than the Std contis. I did use some worn A048's and the grip was amazing so I will be getting some 888's at some point...think the A048s are £110+ for a 15" so you do get what you pay for

Thats the best thing about the R888's,they are almost as good as the AO48's but for 1/2 the price:approve:

Yeah, i bought some 195/50/r15 for my OZ F1's

Does anyone know what pressures i need to run for bedford aerodrome? Could be wet! could be dry!

Thanks
:)

check out toyos website for there guide for setting tyre prssures get them right as it plays a huge part of how well they work and last the will be alot lower than what you will run your road tyres at.

Ive found running around 28 psi in the front,26 psi in the rear on the 172,when cold, works best for me,the fronts then go upto around 32 psi and the rears go up to 28 psi when warm,no doubt I will get away with slightly lower cold pressures in the warmer weather.
