Rac fault code reader

Just a quick one
would an RAC diagnostics give the same code as a clip which I am reading is the Renault code reader used by everyone on here? Thanks

No, unless its a general engine management light fault

Ah ok so serv/ESP light on then RAC couldn't give a code
do you think they would know the problem though without a code

Serve esp light can be anything.

When it happened on mine I got the code read so I had an idea of where to start looking and then tested each abs sensor with an oscilloscope till I found the problem.

Kwik fit used a bosche code reader and pointed to rear right abs sensor and turned out to be correct after testing.

But it could also be something such as incorrectly set up brake pedal switch.
