Couldn't find a thread on this, I guess I'm in the minority here looking at how well it did, but it's hands down the best sim on any console ever.
Other half got it for me as a small present for Christmas (only £7.99 apparently) but I thought I better drain a bit more life out of Forza 3 before getting into it (I hate the single player modes in Forza, so restrictive)
Anyhow, fantastic, pretty much like playing GTR 2 on a console, which is all I could have ever wished for. Sure, the graphics are average at best, the menus look like they were made in MS Paint, the audio sounds like it was played into a microphone from a Memorex C90 and the career mode is rubbish, but...wow, when you're in a professional single make race around Brands in a Formula BMW none of that matters one bit, the handling / physics model is sublime, and on Pro the AI is pretty much spot on.
I can sum it up by saying for my first venture out in a Radical SR4 with no assists at Brands, I span at Paddock Hill...then 10 seconds later I locked up at Druids and went straight into the kitty litter. Console games rarely hit you that hard, I loved it.
As an offline gamer, just being able to set the number of laps, AI difficulty and type of opponents means Forza 3 is up for an instant trade-in, love it.
