Radio code HELP!

disconnected my battery today (182) and have tried about 7 times to enter the radio code as displayed in the Maintenance manual, each time i just get 'error'. The stereo must have been changed by the previous owner / warranty, all other numbers on the sticker in the manual are ok (Chassis No etc) The dealer I bought the car from are about 1hr away and my local dealers will probably sting me so can anyone on here help please?

i got mine from a reno dealer, they have it on their system, you'll need your log book.

Price wise im not sure, one dealer told me it'd be £10, some people on here have been quoted £35!

I went to one and didnt pay a thing, so ring a few before hand.
