radio not working

any help appreciated with this.

tried fitting footwell lights to my 08 clio, running off the overhead light. when i switched it on, i heard a pop and now....

the radio and display are knackered. any ideas?

Checked the fuse?

They both run off the same fuse iirc.

Also check your wiring as it shouldn't pop the fuse that easily with running footwell lights. Maybe a lower rated fuse was replaced - taking a stab in the dark.

fuses seem fine. the lights work great, but no radio or display now now

Not sure about OE radio units but i know that some aftermarket head nuts come with fuses in the back of them

it's this radio i have, and cant see any fuse on the stereo itself.

not got a scooby here. :dapprove:

Checked all 18 ish fuses under the steering wheel. Could see nothing wrong.

What about the ones passenger side of dash? The illumination is run off a fuse in there.
