radio satellite not working

Hi all
I've refitted the original stereo , everything works except the satellite controls by the steering wheel.
Definitely plugged it in behind the stereo, any ideas out there on finding the fault will be much appreciated

Is it the one that actually came with the car / did they work with that exact unit previously ?

Dont know? Was given it when I purchased the car and the radio code works as does the cd under the seat, just not the remote controls
Re checked the wiring and its definitely plugged in correctly.
Wasn't sure if its a common fault or not?
Been on v6 clio site, but as its a standard clio part I thought I'd ask here too
