Is very common according to people on here. Other places to check are under the rear seats and in the boot.

IIRC, Y02za has/had the same problem on his cup and cant find the source. If youve got time on your hands, take it to renault or try and solve it yourself on a dry day when you can see where the leak might be under the car

Leeshez I and my mate both with new 182s had this. I solved both of them without going near a dealer.

The water comes in (on ours and others on here at least) from the wheel arches that arnt sealed properly. On mine it was passenger side and on my mates 182 it was drivers side. Both left water under the seats.

After a week or so trying to find where it comes in we did. This involved going to B&Q buying some clear silicone sealant. I then took the carpet off around the suspension mount in the boot and sealed under the lip where I found it was coming in after spraying with a jet wash under the arch. This didnt solve it though and left my car with the lovely salt and vinegar smell of the sealant for a few days. (Now gone).

But waitied til it was dark went to local shell and used a soap jetwash and sprayed and looked with a torch you could actually see where it went in under the arch.

So waited til they dried and sealed with the sealant directly under the arch from the outside. Sounds a bit naff this method but its what renault would do anyway.

Now no leaks on either no matter how hard we fire water at it.

I only checked mine after reading someone else on here had the same leak. It was under my passenger seat just with driving in the rain. I didnt want renault taking my carpet trim off and damaging it so glad I sorted it myself.

If you look with a torch at night under the arch you will prob see where the joins are and see a small hole like we did.

I posted pics up here and renaultsport.co.uk so if you do a search on my name hopefully you will find the thread.

water also comes in from under the floor through the rubber bungs covering the nuts holding the seats in (there 4 off them per side)
