Raised/erratic idle

Hi
idle keeps going mad which isn't the first time I've had this normally it sorts its self or a clean of the throttle body sorts it. This time though I have had the EMS light (?) come on.

Any ideas? Thanks

Needs to be diagnosed but If it went after you cleaned the throttle body I’d be inclined to think that may be the fault.

Ah. I read it as you had cleaned it and it sorted itself.

Yeah worth obviously cleaning it again, because free .

How long ago was it, many miles since?

tried cleaning mine- no different. Concentrated on the throttle cable and throttle body for a few weeks
Then changed the ICV- all sorted!
Cleaning mine didn't work

Cleaned throttle body, idling best it has for ages but engine light on. Going to pop into work and get the lads in the garage to fault the diagnostic on it

Cleared faults ( non relating engine light) seems fine now - so who knows ?

If the throttle body plays up it may throw a light on. Did you get it scanned pre clean?

Yeah , no faults relating to that.
Slow speed fan
Brake pedal sensor
And a couple of other random ones

Yes. But an ICV is an ICV i would guess. It plays up again spend £25 on the ICV i reckon. Happy days

Its back raised idle, engine light and randomly going into limp mode. I have got it booked into Birchdown next week but if it is throttle body thats fucked where cheapest for them ? Wolverhampton Renault quoted £248 with discount
