random play using media player

if I have a folder full of MP3 files cant I get media player to play them randomly?

Turn on shuffle..

even with shuffle on it stops after playing one file.
Do I need to "link" the files up somehow?

Mine just continues playing random songs from my library...

you need to have all the songs you want to play in your playlist for shuffle to work

Nope. I don't have any playlists setup and shuffle works fine for me in WMP10.

yeah just an idea as i find it better for mp3's than wmp

add them to your library,( tools/search for media files ) then you can play them all randomly, or choose albums, artist etc

just noticed i have 172 hours in total, bit random, have way more on my other HD which isnt plugged in, most of it is pants tho!

Select All Files > Press Enter > Press Shuffle > Press Play
