Rattle from top of engine at 1500 rpm +

Hi there,

I've recently bought a Clio 172 & I'm really pleased with it but .... yesterday it's starting rattling from the top of the engine & running lumpy
At idle it's quiet & lumpy but at 1500rpm+ it makes a horrible rattling noise from the very top of the engine :S

I've just tried it again from cold & there's no audible rattle but the idle's still uneven

I'd be greatful for any ideas or suggestions please

Have a search for dephaser pulley on here.

If not dephaser it might be a loose spark plug.

Thanks for quick answers ! The dephaser is what I think it could be but some are saying the noise would go at about 1500 rpm not start, on idle it's lumpy but quiet does this still sound like a dephaser problem?
