Rattles, don't you love it when...

Well, I've had a rattle for months now... I would only get it when on tick over while at lights/in traffic etc but constant when doing it and it's been bugging the crap out of me. When ever I got home I would either forget about it or it would go (probably because of parking on a slope all the time...)
It always sounded like it was from inside the car and I tried removing everything to try and get rid but it never went...
Tonight I finally stopped and it was still doing it so decided enough was enough and had another look. Turned out the nut holding the top of the ECU was missing thus causing said rattle. One cable tie later (for now) and the most irritating of rattles has now gone and all I can say is what a joy...!

Don't you just love it when you cure an annoying rattle:approve:.

if anyone has a spare said nut or knows the exact size to get that would be great thanks.

What's more annoying that a rattle in a Clio, is a rattle in a VAG car, my Golf rattled and it pissed me off because it "shouldn't" have done...

I hate the way my s**t sun roof creaks when going over bumps in the road. Doesn't always do it but irritating none the less. It's even worse when it's frosty.

All the interior, engine, suspension in my old 106 rattled at some point but I don't think Bilstein shocks and Grp N bushes helped! The Clio has a couple of buzzing noises from the door cards but that's nothing I cant live with.

My sunroof doesn't even stay open, and it rattles all the time, ALL the time! It stops abit when I loosen the sunroof handle, but then it whistles!

I took my sunroof out sealed all the figments and it's been fine so far, pissed me off having a wet patch on my ass all day :/

i get this aswell, can only hear it with the window open! Its really annoying, sounds like its coming from the wing mirror

The whistle is the temp sensor hole on the bottom of the mirror. Needs covering.

I have a noise coming from my glovebox area (which I can't identify) and one coming from the little coin holder thing at the top in the middle of the dash. It's a really annoying 'sticky' time noise. I can stop it by putting pressure on it, but I can't for the life of my work out how to stop it for good

lol, I did the same thing about 3 years ago and I've never replaced the ECU bracket. Looks a proper ball ache plus f**king around with those wires will end in tears.

My heatshied clips all fell off over the course of about 100 miles. Fixing that one was awesome.

My engine cover has never gone back on. Save a few Kgs and its another rattle.

The passenger seat wobbles when driving. f**k knows how I'll fix that. Drives me mad!

I had an annoying rattle that sounded like it was coming from inside the door, however cleaning it today I noticed the door strip on the outside of the door was loose, took the grmet off the back thinking there would be a loose screw in there and it turns out you just push the strip forwards. Hey presto, no really annoying rattle! woohoo.

I have a clicking/tapping noise coming from the engine bay, only get it when sitting at traffic lights etc. I have no idea what it is can anyone shed some light?
