Rattletastic

  RS Clio 182 Cup
Alright all? Cracking site this btw

Just a quickie...I know the clio is designed to rattle but I've got a new tinny sounding one that seems to be coming from the interior at the rear somewhere (it's a bit hard to track down as only happens when driving) and there's nothing in the boot etc.

Just wondering if anyone else has had similar and worked out the problem/fix??!! Can't be the rear window surely?

cheers

I had a problem with the back parcel shelf (not that you've got a front one).

Rattles against the bott lid. The only way round is either a new (better fitting) shelf, or move the rubber stops on the shelf.

  yep.
i get that one, like a tinny, metalic rattle. no idea what it is tho!

only happens at certain revs.

Lol, is somebody complaining about the rattles in the RSC????

Just turn up the stereo, get a Pro-Speed exhaust and put your foot down so you can't hear them!!!!!! ;)

ive got one under the drivers side tweeter in the dash. I think its from when the handsfree kit was fitted and they removed the dash top... i plan on removing it again to work out what the rattle is.... is this easy?
thanks

removing dash is easy...just make sure you disconected the battery first!

remove silver strips, plastic panel on the steerng wheel, unscrew all screws(including 2 screws on the side of the dash), remove door seals and un pop the A-pillers and slide out job done:cool:

Thats the ONLY rattle I have inside :D
( I must have a better built 182 than you lot!! :rasp: pmsl )

Although saying that, the only reason it rattles is because of the 6x9's in it  .. It's bounces like it's going out of fashion!! lol
