PH1 V6
Hi all,
I have had my 172 since last Saturday. Since then i have noticed a rattle from the cat/manifold area whenever i accelerate between 2.5k revs and 3.5k revs. its worse the harder i accelerate.
On the last service which was done before i bought the car only two months ago, one of the ADVISORY notes was that there is a rattle from the cat fitting bolts. I have looked under the car and cant really seen or feel anything wrong but could this be the cause of the rattle?
I guess the reason im asking is im just hoping its nothing more serious. it would seem the most likely cause but anyone else on here experienced this?
If so im guessing just a new fitting kit should do the job. the manifold to cat joint is a bugger to get to on the ph1 as its not directly under the car but sits higher up.
