rattling gear stick

I have an annoying rattle in my gear stick (ph1 172). At some RPMs i have a metallic rattle that is annoying as hell! When I hear this rattle I can usualy pull the stick upward and it goes away.

What do I need to do/replace to get rid of this nasty little noice?
