Why do people think it's clever to drop £999 in as the price, then lower down put £2500 ono in the description.

He's advertised it at £999 as its free for a week (first advertised 28/8), done the same recently with the Scenic but I actually only waned £999. So if he's scrimping on advertising fee's then as above what else is he being a cheapskate on?
