RB are there 2 different types of shade?

I have been looking around this site quite alot recently and seen quite a few piccys of various clios, and just wondered, are there 2 different shades of racing blue? Some seem to be more of a light blue colour and some a more brighter blue.....or is this just the different quality of pictures which have been taken?

Prob just a different camera mate or you have seen a n arctic blue in bright sunlight? Thats what i would of thought. There aint to many blues available?

172=Monaco blue
and mondial blue i think?(on the cup anyway)

182=racing blue
and arctic blue

as said there are 2 types of blue for the 182, arctic and racing blue. Arctic is a metallic blue, and racing blue is like a light powder blue.

Digital cameras seem to have a bit of a struggle with racing blue, the colour looks VERY different depending on the light and the camera. I've got photos of mine where it looks turquoise!

The pic above is pretty accurate on the real colour.

As Ralphy says though, they all look the same in the metal

its just the lighting, mine looks anything from a deep blue to a very light pastel colour at times

Some of them look blue, a couple look like a really really dark blue and then theres a couple that only have a tiny hint of blue.

Its amazing how the same colour can vary so much in 1 picture.

Makaveli - your third picture down describes the shade difference on camera perfectly, i didnt think there were 2 different shades coz i had only ever heard of the racing blue and arctic blue, but in pictures they do sometimes look so different its hard to imagine they are the same colour maybe they have secret change in heat paint hehe.

WOW! The shot where its on top of the cars looks wicked, like the car has been sprayed blue (no s**t) on the lower half of the car and a lighter blue on the roof! Love that effect. Its the same with my LY in the sun looks differrent everywhere! I LIKE VERY MUCH!
