I need to re-trim my front door cards to match the new interior I have. Does anyone know who actually supplies dark gray alcantara cloth.A local company have quoted me £80 for doin the front doors but cannot supply the material to do it.
SQ Plus in manchester should be able to sort you out http://www.sqplus.comwww.sqplus.com if you ring and ask for Phil. not sure if they will just supply you, but their work is second to none.
Well Ive found a re-trimmer who just works for himself but after talking to him I found out he really knows his stuff. Hes based in Gravesend, Kent and since first contacting him tuesday, hes been in contact every day and been able to get just the rite amout of alcantara needed in the exact same colour.
Ive just dropped door cards off with him now and he thinks he may be able to do them tomorrow so when its done Ill leave a post letting you all know what quality the finish is and how much it cost etc.
24 hours later and my door cards are retrimmed and back in the car. The alcantara is slightly darker than the seats but when your inside the car you cant tell at all. Top quality job and amazingly fast turn around.
This mornin I also fitted gear knob and steering wheel. Gearknob def needed mole grips. Isotta steering wheel came with the wrong size screws so Im driving without th centre cap fitted which looks stupid.
The alcantara guy is also going to make me a gear gaiter with the excess pieces so thats a big bonus too.
Getting pictures taken tomorrow so should have them on web by wed, thurs. I dont no where the alcantara came from as the fitter supplied it so cant give u a direct contact. The guy who did mines away for two weeks but if your around north kent then hell probably be able to sort you out. I paid 120 for the front doorcards. Good price considering the speed he did it.
Just to clarify when you say the door cards are you talking about a small insert on them or the whole thing (im not familiar with the mk2 clio interior), I was looking into getting the top of my dash and the front and rear door card inserts done on my valver, but it sounds like it might end up costing a lot more than i thought.
