Read pads...No Threads

Hello Chaps,

I have recently purchased some valver rear pads to find that they have no threads for the screws, just holes. They are geniune original pads purchased from German and Swedish. Do I have to tap these holes with a special tool, Are they self tapping screws, or just plain no good?

all the genuine renault pads i have seen have had threaded holes for the screws.
