Rear axle alignment

  mini - going 172
Chaps - very quick question:

are the rear axles on 172 (non-cup) align-able?

I've got a ever so slight counter-steer thing going on (left about 5-10 degrees to go straight) - my normal garage tells me the front tracking is spot on, however they suspect that the rear's "out" and is the cause (they didn't have time to go into any further detail with the investigation - dont think they have the kit to do a full 4-wheel job)

Is it worth me attempting a "4 wheel alignment" elsewhere or would I be wasting my time?

Thanks in advance - any advice / comments greatly appreciated!

the rear is non adjustable, what settings did you get on the print out, sounds like they need to go back to school

Thanks Fred - no printout - it was a "while you've got the car (they were fitting a new driveshaft for me) can you spend 5 and straighten the steering wheel?"... so they couldn't spend too much time on it - but they had a quick look at the fronts and are certain they're bob-on

I suppose a "proper" alignment would be the first port of call?

Thanks Dan

Will do - got it booked into a local place (HiQ) on friday - they might not be brill but they're all I've got and can get to given the other things I've got on on the mo - they'll at least be able to put some numbers on it.

:)
