rear axle, how much?

52reg 1.2 16v clio, from either breakers or new renault? need a new one as a bolt on suspension has sheared off :S

thanks

jamie

what you been doing jamie lad?
Id expect to pay maximum of £100 for a rear axle tbh(with drums etc). Although if you want to get a 172 rear axle they are only £300 brand new with discs and pads from MATTBLACK.

so we are talking what 150 second hand ?

Madmike bought one for £150, although he's had one or two problems with the ABS rings on the discs as they set the ABS crazy!

Edit* This is regarding a 172 rear axle!

ok nice one chaps.

adam mate, unfortunate mishap with the coilies, short story is that when they were put on they were impact wrenched up and so cross threaded, when i tried to get them off as we thought the the rings were wrong and then tried to put back on wouldnt go on, therefore ended up trying to tightened and managed to shear off the bolt screw :(

thinking i might still be able to get it drilled though :S any ideas?
