rear beam on 172 cup?

Hi all i need a new rear beam on my 172 cup can i use the beam of a normal 172 as cant find a cup one?

Dave why do you need a new rear beam? Bent it?

No its where i drilled the damper bolt out wasnt quite rite its broke the weld and the metals crumberling cant pick the right word seems like its been bodged in the past and all glued together!!! New frame just to satsfy myself with it (and mot in july)

Get 172 Cup one as the brake bias valve tends to be the issue on MOT. Also...negates the need for ABS rings.
Its always best to go like for like.
Have you tried Renparts (as least they will know exactly what you are on about).

Also, see if Ad can get hold of them? At least you will know if he can, its perfect and has no history to speak of.
