Rear brake discs

Car  182cup/D40/Hornet
Think I'm gonna take it back to Renault as the rear discs look abit sh1tty,thinking I may be abit paranoid as the front ones have been changed under warranty for being 'heavily pitted'.Tbh though I personally think the rear ones look like they are in places. But surely they would have noticed ..........

^^Had to pay for pads though the greedy b******s,haven't used the car much this week and the discs on the rear are rusty as fook,I know you get abit on if it stands but these look terrible,so done about 40 miles today and they seem to have rust streaks where the pads have been gripping. When your coming to stop there is like a grinding noise off them.

Took some pics today,first/worst one is O/s rear

This is your problem, you need to use the car more and break harder. Modern car breaks need to be use otherwise they pit and rust, leaving it for a week isn't good

Don't agree with you there mate,I've never read in any owners manual that you have to brake like a loon all the time and do 100's of miles a week so your discs don't pit or rust badly,I mean if this was the case it would become a safety issue and they would have to put it in the manual as the brakes become less effective.
Surely if this was the case Renault wouldn't have changed the front ones under warranty, they would have just said'Sorry Sir your driving like puff and by the way use your car more, goodbye!'
Yes I don't do loads and loads of miles(about 7k per year) but as for braking harder, had the front discs glowing on a few occasions and cooked them which resulted in very little braking/stopping power on the road.
I've owned quite a few cars and have never known this kind of deterioration on brake discs.
Seems more likely to be poor quality kit.

I agree that leaving it for a week isn't good but I had used it just not as much as I usually do.

very suprised you got the fronts done under warranty, must have been low mileage? rears do take a lot longer to clean up as they do a lot less effort.
