Rear brake problem?

After taking my car for a mot today if failed on the rear brakes not working? I noticed the spring was missing from the rear axle but apparently the cups don't have them and work differently? Anyone have any ideas?

heard somewhere that they regularly fail on this and there was a note from VOSA around it? (something similar anyway)

I have had to use a VOSA note in the past I'll see if I can find it again, last time around to save arguing I just fitted one, takes 10 mins

No it's on the foot pedal. Theres very little braking power. Discs and pads are like new.

Yeah if you could see if you could find it please. Fitted what sorry?

Fitted the spring thing to the compensator/brake bias valve, any mark2 non abs clio one will fit, I got it from a scrapyard for 50p

Im sure some will disagree but if you play with the adjustment it works pretty well, the danger is if it isn't set right you can lock the rear wheels
