Rear breaks

went to set off today and my rear breaks were locked up, and it just felt like the handbreak was still on. i eventually managed to get going from jolting the car foward. does anyone know the cause of this? thanks

Could be just because of the cold matey, ive had this on a few cars, failing that it could be a sticking caliper or shoes
