rear demister

hi how can you tell if the rear demister is working on a ph2 172 ? mine doesnt have any bulb etc to illuminate to show when its on ..

Steam it up with the kettle?..

when its been on for about 10 minutes touch the glass, it will be warm if its working.

ok cheers guys , will it go off on its own aswell ? are they supposed to have an led that illuminates to inidcate if its on etc ?

should be a light on the dash for it

and yes, it will turn off in 15 minutes i do believe

Check the bulbs working on the dash.. Hold the stalk button in when you turn on your ignition

right its deffo not working .. ive checked the fuse an its fine, anyone know which relay it is ?

the light illuminates when i do the dash trick, but not when tryimg to get the rear screen to work . also rear wiper and washer work fine ..

check that the switch is actually working, also check the wiring in the boot make sure its all connected up properly and that the switch is working properly

all the other boot electrics work though (rear wiper/washer) so im guessing switch now like you said lol . how can i check the switch ?

Does the relay click on and off when the demister goes on/off? I'd try replacing Burton tbh. Think I've got one if you want it then inbox me
