Rear Discs and Pads...

Was told at my MOT that my rear discs and pads are 75% worn. Was just wondering roughly how long it might be before I should think about replacing them. I don't particularly hammer my brakes and try not to slam them on unless really necessary. I've no idea how long they've lasted so far as I've only had the car for about 8 months. They still sound ok, i.e. not grinding or anything.

Oh, its a Mk2 172.

safe bet would be soon..

Its one of those things I'd prefer not to do before xmas really! If it were front discs and pads I be seriously thinking about having it done, but with with it being rear, I know they don't get as much hammer has the front.

Anyone else? how many miles do you think you'd get out of whats left?
