Rear discs

Picked up my new rear discs from Renault yesterday and now I realise why they were so expensive. The wheel bearing comes as part of it and also there is a wierd gear thing on the inner side. Look ever so strange. Im assuming that it has something to do with the ABS (Captain??). Found out also that the torque setting for the hub nut is 175 Ib/ft. Does this sound right??

175 ft/lbs sounds right. Doesnt really matter too much as long as they are tight. most toqrque wrenches havnt been calibrated in years anyway. that or they are cheap ones which are miles out anyway.

The tooth ring is for the ABS wheel speed sensor. Each wheel has one of these on an ABS car so the ECU can determine brake balance required and so on.
