I'm trying to replace the rear discs on my ph1 I've undone the caliper and hub nut. I can't see anything else that would stop them coming off . I've been hitting them with a hammer for the past 2 days but still no joy. Anyone got any ideas whether I'm missing something?
This happened with mine also, if you have removed the hub nut and they still won't budge the bearings (which are part of the unit) may have seized onto the axle. Should free off with enough gentle coaxing with a mallet or bolster/coal chisel. Be careful not to damage anything if you try this though! Take it to a local specialist if your worried and they will free it up for you!
The reason I'm swapping the discs is the only two of the wheel bolts would tighten up properly. Replacing the disc should sort that but it means it's not in a suitable shape to take it anywhere. I've decided to take the whole hub off to assess it properly. Seems the discs are fully seized in though. Oh what fun
