Yea, was thinking the 182 would be a good one to do it to given the space at the back, nice stainless pipes, tig welded joints, nice silicone hoses. If mapped well could be a nice project!

Had a quick search, do you know if anyone has done is to their 1*2?

Too much pressure/temperatur loss due to long distance between head and turbo imo. Would do it properly instead of having 3 miles of exhaust/pressure piping in the car.

Fair point, just a little less evasive in terms of being really easy to remove and fit. Prob best for sprint type purposes I recon. Would like to see it done though!!

Temp loss is a good thing though, I was wondering about lag and things to, probably a nightmare!

if that setup was good more cars would have it.. BUT they dont.

*turbo is in a vulnerable place... ( for thieves and damage)
*4-5 metres of charge pipe to create boost in ( massive lag)
*possible oil temp problems ( over cooling )

and a lot more other reasons that could be added im sure

good job they've removed the original article date, I remember seeing that when I 1st got my 5turbo coming up 10 years ago now. It never took off probably because compared to a traditional setup it was pants
