rear number plate light not working

wont work, taken it out to check the connection but its not working still, bulb doesnt look to be damaged or anything, any ideas??

yeah, all the lights work as they should just not the plate light?

i suppose it should just be the bulb...

now this may sound really stupid, but vie never bought a bulb for a car, so where freom, do i need a code or something?

its actually very common to get corrosion on the connector, if the bulb is ok, remove the connector and get a small bit of, wet/dry/sandpaper/emery and clean the connections both from the cable and the connector and also the bulb holder, the copper on mine was covered in green corrosion to stop it from operating.

Yeah as josh said they're a bit crap, they sit in a little well (Well done frenchies) and water gets into it, they corrode like a b*****d aswell
