Rear number plate light

Failed mot on the light not working. Turns out it is t the bulb but the contacts and wiring corroding inside the unit. Anyone know cost from Renault?

No idea - but mine failed for the same today - when I took the bulb-holder out, I found the wiring connector completely corroded and had signs of corrosion. So I'm looking for the part number now...

Cheers - I spotted these on my eBay search too - I think I'll grab one of them, assuming a few people have had these before.. good job it comes with some loom wire too.

Ahh cool - I will probably get an ebay one - do you have the connector and some loom wire too? Sodding pins on the plug corroded.

You're right - it can't really be £34, it must be like £3.40.

repair loom from renault was approx £33+VAT when i ordered the other day, purely because you can only get it from them.

i was disappointed when the loom came and it wasn't gold plated!

I ripped the bulb holder and loom out of a Clio in the scrappy, much cheaper

got mine from local motor factors for £15

then broke the little plug which then mean i had to go to the scrappies and get a new one which was another £2

Can you get the loom from Renault? Guy on ebay wants £35 for a bit of wire lol
