Rear seat belt problem!

Has anyone else got this problem with the rear seat belt holders? I replaced the one on the left 6 months ago and now the other side has gone, only a small job but i never use the rear seat belt so how they have broke, both of them is beyond me ! Is This a common fault?

first time i have heard of it tbh

imagine not many on here use the back seats though tbh

The back seat (drivers side) doesn't work. The belying jus doesn't clip in, almost like it's locked.
Never bother me too much and havnt bothered replacing, may do before MOT though, not sure if it will fail me

thats why I dont get how they keep breaking! I only do them for MOT though

hey yeah i have had this problem before aswell & it failed its mot because of it, its a common fault with clios apparently. i am begining to learn that most parts for a clio is "common" lol

i dont suppose you know what socket size you used to remove the bolt ?

Can you use non renaultsport seat belt holders in a 172?

yeah i heard it was, i spoke to alot of scrapyards and they said that it is a really common fault in clios, am sure non renault sport seat belt tensioners should fit 172, ps. it was a 17mm socket i used to replace the tensioner.

Back to this question again, went to the scrappy and I am still after a rear belt holder. The clio I was getting it from was a ph 1 and had a 3 point middle belt. The colours were left to right

red/ black- red/ red

in my sport its

red/red- black/ red

so will this fit before I go and get it out of this clio ?? as there is no point ripping it out if this will not fit my Renaultsport
