Rear shocks?

Im picking up my new rear cup shocks from renault tomorow and im going to have ago at fitting them myself how easy are they to fit etc

very easy mate as long as your bolts arent too rusty. even so they easily come off if you have an impact wrench

also undo one side at a time so that the rear beam doesnt fall on the ground.

so is it undo bottom bolt 1st then undo top bolt then shocks come out

i undo the top mount(bolts) first then the bottom one. and just pull the shock down. very easy to do only problem you may have is actually getting the bolts off as they can be tight. other than that its straight forward mate

Ill give it ago do the bolts have to be torqued back up at all??

yeh mate. also its a better idea to just loosen the top bolt and then undo the bottom bolt completly as it makes it alot easier to do as it takes the wieght of the rear beam off the bottom bolt.

coulnt tell you mate as i was using an impact wrench which wasnt mine. just tighten them up as much as you can mate.

so easy ma man 18mm bottom bolt and a 16mm top mount bolt

Soak the bolts at the bottom that attach the bottom of the shocker to the rear hub in WD40 the night before you do them as well. That was the only way I could loosen them.

I fitted the new shocks today and the bolts undone easy enough and was really easy to fit all new bushes and bolts included so all good much better now

notice a difference in ride too im guessing? what mileage you on as im sure mine are on the way out. ive done 64k

mine on 68k and yea ride is much better they was so fucked the car bounced everywhere was just on the springs lol i was debating if i should of got uprated shocks

thats what mine feels like, bouncy as hell. sure it wasnt like that wen i first got it but couldnt work out if im just used to it or not.

how much they cost from ren if you dont mind me asking?

Well i got them trade price lol but to anyone else sumin like £107 but i got them cheaper but u get everything

dont think i'l bother uprating them, just go standard.

Yea gota be done i just hope the front dont go soon as i would of rather just got some coilovers for extra money
