Rear spekers

Just wondering if aynone has removed the rear door unted in it?cards on a 3door and replaced it with a peice of mdf with a 6*9 mounted in it.

ive done it in my pug but just wondering if anyones done it in a clio and how easy it was?

removed the card in a mk1, 3 door. But just stuck 4" in

you dont remeber what size you had to cut the mdf do you?

Surely you just remove the trim, cut the mdf to that size, and screw it to the chasis and then mount the speakers in?

would have thought that woudl be easiest, depending on how good you are you could round the edges off with a router, and even carpet the mdf

it is that easy, but unfortunately im not that good at woodwork- so i was checking if anyone else had done anything similar?

If u wanna place 6x9s in, i wouldnt mdf the entire card, seems one huge job to me.

perhaps just do what lunner mentioned. probably will have to have them raised outwards slightly as the chasis maybe get in the way of the speakers magnets.
