Rear Spoiler

Folks,

I got a spoiler and its on the car but now its starting to bubble. I want to take it off but it was glued on with a black tar like glue anyone any ideas how to get it off short of sticking a knife and cutting the black stuff?

thats the only way, just carefully slice it and with a bit of luck you should be able to just glue it on over the old glue without having to spray the top of the tailgate (if youre very careful)

try a piece of welding wire or something and just slice through it

will do, once i get it off i suppose i could sand it lightly and udm it!

the glue (sikaflex more than likely) literally bonds itself to the laquer and becomes 100% solid

only way to remove it will be to cut it all off and then wetflat it all perfectly without breaking the laquer.

no chance getting it all off without going through the laquer
