Rear suspension damper on clio 182

  clio sport 182
I have a 6 year old 182 and i've notice the driver side rear damper is leaking quite bad, is this a common problem on 182's?. It was hit a couple years back when its was parked up and i have nothing but problems with that side of the car. And does anyone know a rough cost renault charge for part and fitting? been trying to ring them all day just kept putting me on hold!!!!!!!!!!!!!

pm joshydee at cliospares, I got a shock from him for about £30 delivered. Like Beef-Mc said it took about 10 minutes to swap them over. all you need is a socket set and a breaker bar ;)

If it's renault I think it's around the £80 an hour mark in labour.

Where are you based, plenty of RS specialists who could save you a fair wedge.

yes it's a common thing for them to go soon. mine lasted 45k and were also leaking badly.
but as said above easy to fit

Hardest bit is cracking the bolts holding the shock to the hub, if the bolts haven't been undone anytime recently, they can be an arse to undo.

no word of a lie... took an hour for me to get the driver side bolt off... get a can of WD40! once that was off, 10 min job if that - make sure you take the wheel off first as they are heavier than you'd think ;)
