Recaro Protective Seat Covers

I apologise now if this has already been posted before.

I have a 197 with the Recaro seats and like everybody else who has them I have had them to the dealer with premature seat wear

Fortunately the wearing seat has been replaced but has anybody bought a protective seat cover to ideally stop the wearing in the future?

I have seen one but I don't really want to shell out fifty notes if it's going to have no productive affect at all

If anybody has bought one or has an alternative I would appreciate the info

I'm off to get some foam for mine. The fabric base is only stretched round the seat frame. I'm going to pad the bolster as it should be, then buy a cover from capital seating. Might even do a wee guide if i get time. The only reason they wear is due to the foam braking underneath, then the material sits on the seat frame.

Sounds good mate, I've seen the Capital Seating site and it looks good.

You should do a guide mate, there are alot of people out there that have the seat wear problem but haven't a clue how to rectify it without shelling out loads of cash for a new seat if Renault won't replace it under warranty!
