im thinking of buying a clio 182ff and was looking for 1 witht he recaros fitted, like the trophy and cant find 1 anywhere. So im looking to find out where i can source a set of recaros and sub frames if needed? What sort of price would be decent to pay for a set?

why not buy a trophy? they are going for pretty good rates atm and the suspension is far superior apparently.

i'd love a trophy and spoke to a boy about his, he wanted £6k or so it was minted but he hasnt got back to me, so i thought get a cup/ff and stick recaros in and i'd be happy using that as a run about, standard seats are unbearable!

cheers for the posts

is it possible to buy these seats from renault? or even the new recaros from the 197 if they would fit? Do they defo need a new sub frame or could you use the standard one?

Nothing wrong with the standard seats, it's just the driving position thats awful. TBH, the Recaro's are overpriced, and don't remedy the driving position. Many people pay through the nose for them on the name alone. There are seats available at half the price, that improve the driving position vastly. Having had 2 cars with the Recaro's (Trophy and my old Monaco 172), I'd never get them again.

if the recaros are'nt that good, what would be recommended? im looking for something more comfy and better looking and a change in driving position would be great!

The Trendlines are a Big improvement over the squishy standard rubbish.

Far bit lighter than Trendlines, I've fitted both.

Riz has them, as does Fred (in the Vee).

as fitted to my old 182. much lighter than the standard items, probably about 15-20kgs lighter in total than the standard fit items.

I have these sparco milanos now,

Almost as good with adjustable lumbar and memory foam so moulds to you when you sit in. A bit heavier due to being full leather, but much more luxurious to go long distances in compared to the misanos.
