received matched inlets , is this one okay ?

i received them from Ben, after looking closely at them there is a spot where the grinder might have "bit" itself in and there is a "dent" on this spot.

excuse my English :eek: but when looking at the pictures you'll see what i mean..
Will this be a problem (maybe a different flow through this one?) or should i go ahead and mount them ?

To me, it is not a bit mark instead a slight marking of "cast-core". I would not bother, go ahead and get it installed.

yeah well it's defo a dent , 1mm off in comparison to the rest.. Nothing dramatic, just wondering how this would maybe have influance on the flow ?

Alper finally everything/ all the parts are here.. 182 manifold, C&B cams, + matched inlets. One more thing in the mail ; the thermal gaskets from Chris (HillpowerClio) which should be here monday.
Then it's off to the garage !

Nice list there, apart from the PTFE gaskets you gonna get good results. I am not 100% convinced about the gaskets though. High heat source and a 5 mm thick gasket, how could it affect the results? Is there any proven gains?

Do'nt know either if there will be ANY gains with the gaskets.. they're not 5mm thick though, only 1,5 or so. There is a thread where somebody posted the inlet temps before + after..was almost a 10C inlettemp difference ? i'll look it up

Thats normal most of them come like that. If you look at the inlets before being matched then there is a big groove there already. Its just the matching process does not require that much material to be removed so that the groove goes. One of the best mods ive done since getting the car.

i've been convinced already about the inlets, not worrying. i have seen othe pics and yep the mark is there on others too ..

Would have sent Ben a pic but he's on vacation (?) and after waiting 2 months on parts from abroad + barely driving my car, because i'm scared of snapping cambelt, i CAN'T WAIT to get the car in for the job anymore
