Is it possible with a bit of work on the rear hanger?

All the threads regarding it are a few years old and have no conclusive ending so hoping a few people are currently running it and can share a bit of info/pictures!

Cut and re-weld the hanger. ROB91 had it done on his old track car

All of the 172 systems apart from the stealth, can be recessed a little - you simply have to rotate the strap around the backbox and lift it, however, they weren't designed to be cut in, with the exception of the rolled slash cut "Sports" system.
