Rechargable Battery Recommendations?

  Punto/Clio GTT
after a docking station(?) that you plug into the mains n charge your batteries.

ideally im after a big one that will charge 12 AA batteries at a time, but i suppose i could just get 2x6AA's

recommendations on the charger and batteries? its mainly gonna be used for an RC car so the batteries need to be pretty good and last a long time before i need to buy new ones

cheers!

www.7dayshop.com had the best prices for NIMH AA rechargeables and chargers last time I looked. I think they do a charger that charges 8 at a time, not sure about 12 though.

i think it depends on how long you want to wait foir them to be charged

i dont mind how long it takes for them to be charged as ill just buy 2 sets of batteries and have 1 set on charge while i use the others.

aslong as they last a good ammount of time from the charge and the actual lifespan is good then i dont mind

My uniross 2700 batteries have an appalling lifespan. I've given up using them and stocked up on kodak batteries when they were doing buy a pack of 12 ad get another pack free. The normal kodak batteries also last longer in my camera.

i would of thought they would have to prove there capacity to advertise it as that.

so the higher the mAh rating the longer they should last.

as for charger and good charger with - delta V individual charging should do just trying to find one that will do more than 8 is going to be tough

I have some uni-ross from a few years ago and I thought they were rather good tbh. Used to use them in my digital camera and my wireless ps2 controller. They lasted for quite a while in the recorder, they were 2100mAh.

Just found them in my digi-cam that I haven't used in more than a month and was still taking pics with flash and lcd on. I would def buy Uniross again but I haven't tried any others.

There is apparently this device (poss from USA) that recharges normal AA batteries upto 10times. It was around £30 when I saw it in the Radio Times mag.

hmm any idea what it was called? could be a possability

does it fully charge them to the original battery life? or does it get less n less?

one thing i would say is that most of the top brand battery makers on non-rechargeable batteries include something to stop them being charged by those chargers

Sorry, can't remeber the name of it. Will check tomo as I think my mum may have keptthat page as she wanted it. I think you can only recharge about 10 times before they become useless and I believe the battery gets less each time.
